State of Illinois Driver’s License Suspension

What is the difference between suspension and revocation of your driver’s license in the state of Illinois?
A suspension of your driver’s license is temporary. When your suspension period ends, you will automatically be granted driving privileges.
If your license is revoked however, you must have a Secretary of State hearing to be granted reinstatement. At this hearing, you must exhibit to the Illinois Secretary of State that you would not pose as a danger to others on the road. Proving this to the Secretary of State is not a small burden. The aid of a lawyer who has experience handling these cases is paramount, in order to obtain the best resolution possible.
