Aggravated Speeding in Illinois

In the state of Illinois, if you drive 26 mph or more over the speed limit, it is considered Aggravated Speeding. Some assume speeding is always simply a petty offense. However, aggravated speeding is actually a criminal misdemeanor under Illinois law.
