Daniel Nold is a trial lawyer who specializes in criminal defense throughout northern Illinois. He has advocated for his clients during more than 35 jury trials, as well as hundreds of bench trials and judicial hearings. Because he is devoted to providing his clients the best defense possible and to protecting their rights from the police and government, he won the Avvo Client’s Choice Award in both 2020 and 2021. While he takes on all forms of criminal law, he’s particularly proud of the work he does defending victims of domestic violence, who are often under-protected by the legal establishment and those seeing Orders of Protection against their abusers.
Daniel got his Bachelor of Arts degree at Marquette University in 2009, and graduated from the St. Louis University School of Law in 2012. He was admitted to the Illinois bar in 2012 and moved to McHenry County in 2015, and he is now proud to call Crystal Lake his hometown. Daniel has experience in personal injury, family law and criminal defense. He’s worked for Donahue & Walsh since 2015.
Dan is a member of the McHenry County Bar Association (2016-present), the Illinois Truck Enforcement Association (attorney member, 2019-present), and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association (2020-2021).
In 2020, Daniel also spoke on the podcast “Defense Attorneys On Lockdown,” in the episode titled “How has the shutdown impacted defense attorneys?”
Daniel is firmly committed to protecting all of his clients from the government. He believes that everyone deserves fair, earnest representation in court and protection under the law. He hopes to help as many people as he can through the daunting task of defending themselves, whether they end up in a jury trial or in a one-on-one hearing with a judge.
